When I press Alt + 14 on the number pad, firefox goes back a page, instead of making the music note symbol it's supposed to make. Why?

I've always been able to make music notes in firefox, by pressing Alt + 13 to get ♪, and Alt + 14 to get a double eighth note -- but for some reason when I press Alt + 14 now, firefox backs up to a previous page, rather than making the note. I did recently update to the latest version of firefox, so I'm wondering if that had something to do with it? That's unlikely, though, considering that the behavior started before I updated. I won't die without my music notes, but it's a functionality issue that's getting pretty annoying.

Try to switch on Num Lock to prevent Firefox from doing the default action (Alt 4 -> Alt cursor Left; Alt 7 -> Alt Home)
