when I type name into email TO: it does not pull contact from the contact list

when I type the first few letters of a name into the TO: or the CC: or the BCC box, my contact list is not accessed and a number of different names present to select. Even if I type in the full name, it will not select the contact from the contact list.

Are you using a web based email service? If so which one are you using Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail etc...?

No, one one computer. Does not occur on internet explorer - only on firefox on this computer.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving that data.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" >: "Remember search and form history"

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet.
