Whenever I try to use the search bar of any of the search engines, it switches to

http://search.tuxendo.com/Search.aspx?aff=189&cg=161030445a074f69a8b4da7a5ba7c95b&t=newtab

so I can't use the search engines, I can't figure out how to get rid of this. Virus scan doesn't show anything wrong and no other solution is visible. Thank You.

Two steps needed for the solution

1 Open up firefox and type in about:config in the url bar and then search for tuxendo. Right click on each thing that comes up and select reset. (I only found 2 that needed resetting).

2 If you have an extension installed called 'SearchToolbar 1.0', disable it.

That should take care of things but I've no idea where it comes from.

Okay, so i both disabled and removed SearchToolbar 1.0... which i dont even remember asking for in the first place. I also did the about:config part, with resetting all that came up as Tuxendo. Things are pretty much back to normal - HOWEVER, it was still showing up to the right of the address/url bar where you have your list of search engines. I removed it from the list, but is it still there somewhere??

Im attaching a pic of where it was still showing up, before the removal from the list. I hope it's really gone this time. No clue what this is/where it came from...

I also have this problem after getting Camstudio. I tried all that with no luck. When I click on Add-Ons it just loads forever and thats it.

When you click on add-ons, you will see 'extensions' in the left column (the icon is a blue jig-saw piece). Click on this and you will find out if you have Search Toolbar 1. If so, disable it. Hope this helps
