can not log out of accounts and can not close tabs

When I updated fox I can't log out of accounts or click on tabs and close them.I removed new fox and installed fox 5,that didn't clear problem. It did allow me to download pdf's that had been blocked. ?????

You need to clear cookies from sites to get logged off.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
