I can't even start Firefox at all. When I click on the Firefox icon, a box pops up telling me Firefox has crashed and asking me to send a report. I tried updating and uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox etc... to no avail. I can't even get it to open.

Try running firefox in Safe Mode and see if that helps.

Then, type about:crashes in your url bar and press enter. Try to find your most recent crash id, and post it here. We can probably use that to find the cause of your crash.
