Every single one of my addons is deleted upon ff8 install.
Now what ladies and gents... I have 300 tabs running rampant.
ALL of my addons completely vanished from the list. Not so much as a peep recover them. And that mythical ff8 windows that supposedly should show up to to help you with that is nowhere to be found.
Now I have to use some voodoo magic to figure out what addons I had in the first place. If I can remember them all.
Ah and it seems some of them or maybe all of them are still integrated... As I still have my tmp and session manager integrated. My tubestop however was disabled or gone so I installed it anew.
Its a complete mess. And all that rushed updates policy that is increasingly annoying users.
Ah, dandy, now that everything is running wild, i'm out of virtual memory too.
Chosen solution
I'm telling you... Make absolutely sure everything is gone.
I checked the folder I check the menus, the context menus and everything in the functionality was gone.
My friend reports that some people just get into a starting mess. And it partially auto resolves. If you have a few addons you can start from scratch but if you had dozens like I do you are best to exhaust every option first.
Mozilla live chat should be open soon. Or go ask them in IRC when does it open.

Solved it on my own. Thx to my tech support being my profession. Thx for wasting my time developers.
I'm going to really avoid major firefox updates for 3 months each. Since firefox 5 its only been getting worse each time. And I don't know about optimizations but this is either full of memory leaks or is clogging stuff on a strange rate.
As for anyone having the same trouble...
I just met a guy with the same problem. He said a couple of firefox restarts at least made his previous addons list appear and he took it up from there. I did it the long and painful way by wiping out everything. Thank god for backups and archives.
The only way this update could have been worse if it completely erased any firefox and associated data.
Now I have to waste another 3 hours to reconfigure all the options.
Well I gotta hand it to them, each mozilla fail is greater than the last. At least they up the progression. (ouch)
but what exactly did u do to recover?
If your plugins are still integrated but missing from the list, close ff a start it again. Maybe even a few times, the guy didn't say if he ever used safe mode.
I wiped the installation clean and reinstalled everything from a list of every addon i have from an old backup. And installed each of them again. You can use sync or whatever you like to to save your password etc.
Either way its a tedious grind. But make sure your plugins were totally gone, mine were. The other guy's weren't some of them were working and still integrated into menus, functions etc. Then update, enable each of them and so on.
Ultimately you can use file recovery software to find the missing files.
That goes to show to always backup your plugins and everything before attempting the increasingly hazardous firefox updates. Pfft.
Modified
ok i will try removing entire traces.
i already have sync account and there is no problem with passwords and bookmarks.
the problem is the addons

yes u r right.
the add-ons started working after a few clean restarts
but IDM is not integrated properly - it is downloading each and every audio-video file on the page!
