Where Did Skippidity (sp?) come from and how did it get there?
When I fired up Firefox this morning, I got a toolbar named Skipity (I think that's the spelling). I went into tools, found it, and removed it, but that isn't the point; I want to know where it came from and who authorized its installation. it popped up after the latest update and looks like it came from the download Youtube videos app I've had for a few months. It was nothing I would have installed, it just popped up on its own without asking permission.
I don't like most extra toolbars and would prefer a button that would pop up a toolbar when I wanted or needed it.
Is there another video download utility I can use that isn't so intrusive?

The Download Youtube video extension rebranded (or merged with) Skipity and added Skipity functionality. So if you had the Download Youtube video extension installed, it turned into Skipity.

I have immediately removed the Download Youtube video extension. Hope that is the end of Skipity. Now I can restart with other add-ons like Ad-block.
