When opening the Tabs menu, there is currently a cross-button for closing the tabs.

However, its standard behavior on Android 4.0 ICS to close the tabs using a left/right-sideward-gesture.

This is the behavior to close apps in the applist-menu, and notifications in the notification area.

Thanks for using Firefox beta! We do have a bug filed for this and a patch is in-progress. We have a had several request for this, so you can see the progress here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=713450
