Home page does not have buttons at the bottom; how to fix?
The Firefox home page, according to the Firefox site, is supposed to show buttons across the bottom for "downloads," etc.

The bottom of my home page is blank. How to make it look like the one on this Firefox site?
Chosen solution
ok, then a yahoo program (probably a toolbar or something like it) might have overwritten the default settings. the url of the default inbuilt firefox homepage is about:home as already mentioned before...

you might have it disabled. try to check it out in add-on section.
Is the home page set to about:home ?
No, the default is set to "show my windows and tabs from last time," but when I open a new window, it does show the home page, which is http://en-US.start3.mozilla.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official. (That is the home page URL that shows up in the Preferences/General tab.)
hello, this is the homepage used for firefox 3.x versions and older - just click "restore to default" or manually set about:home in the preferences > general > startup section to get the new homepage in firefox.
For some reason when I hit restore to default, it sets it to the Yahoo search page (http://search.yahoo.com/firefox/?fr=yff40-sfp). What is the new home page URL so I can manually set it?
A new window will be opened by default with the Home page. You will either have to click the toolbar Home button to open the home page if you currently see the pages from the previous session or change the startup setting to show the home page and use the button on that page to restore the previous session.

Thanks, filling in "about:home" worked!
Thanks, I didn't understand that "about:home" was a URL.
The URL of the new tab page (about:newtab) also uses the about: protocol, just like all other build-in pages.
