I don't want to automatically open downloaded files, how do I change this behavior?

Downloaded files (such as zips) will automatically open once firefox mobile finishes downloading them, which is especially terrible if you're downloading multiple files at once. Your system will keep loading whatever it finishes downloading regardless of whatever else you're doing.

One of the suggested workarounds is to long press and use Save Link, but that does not work if the link is a redirect. Is there something in about:config to change this behavior?

I don't believe that behavior is configurable.
