i just upgraded to firefox 17 and when i navigate facebook, i get javascript error messages.

i keep getting these pop up error messages whenever i navigate facebook or any other site online after i upgraded to firefox 17. the message says: javascript application..........ERROR: syntax error. i have never gotten this message before, and need to know what to do. otherwise, i will have to go back to a previous firefox. please respond. thank you. regina watkins

This issue is possibly caused by the Social Fixer extension.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
