Installed Firefox 17.0.1.

Dropdown lists don't open now - e.g., Twitter's login dropdown (so can't log on to Twitter.) Dropdown lists worked for all previous versions of Firefox.

I've never heard of that solution. What does it do?

Is the fix permanent or will I have to do it each new time I open Twitter?

Thanks.

(cor-el, hardware acceleration was disabled, thanks.)
