I love my bookmarklets, but when i upgraded to Firefox 18 I lost the ability to use them!

i drop the bookmarklet, and it won't stick. Three of the bookmarklets are: Pocket, Pinterest and Share as Image. Yes, I know Pocket and Pinterest are available as add-ons, but I don't like the way they work.

I've dragged them to every possible location in the bookmark toolbar, menu toolbar and add-on toolbar. I tried putting in a space and flexible space widget in the bookmark toolbar, to see if that would help. Nope.

Anybody know a solution? Thanks for reading.

Mr. Edmeister,

You made me realize that I had deleted the bookmarks flower when I set up the page, as I don't use Foxfire bookmarks. I restored the toolbars to their default state and that made it work.

Thanks so much.

You can't place a bookmarklet anywhere except for in your bookmarks, including the Bookmarks Toolbar. Using the Customize mode won't help you as all the bookmarks on the Bookmarks Toolbar won't accept any items from the Customize Palette; the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are one "thing" when in the Customize mode.

Do you have that problem with not being able to place them on the Bookmarks Toolbar when running in the Firefox SafeMode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
