This plugin is disabled. Manage plugins... HELP!

I am using windows vista and firefox. I thought I would be on top of it and update my plugins today. Bad decision. The bottom 1/3 of my screen reads " This plugin is disabled. Manage plugins...". When I click on manage plugins, it takes me to a tab page. Does anyone have a fix, solution or any suggestions? Thanks, Karen
