I am able to go to websites using Firefox but cannot perform searches, computer is working fine otherwise.

Recently, I am unable to search any topics - the hourglass spins without result. I use AVG (powered by Google) as my search engine - prior to this I had no issues. The computer is operating fine otherwise and able to go to websites. I recently uninstalled lower versions of Adobe and installed the recent version as directed by Firefox. Why am I unable to perform a search?

Via which search bar are you searching?

  • searching via the location bar (pref: keyword.URL)
  • search bar on the Navigation Toolbar
  • search bar on the about:home page (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename)
  • other search bar (e.g. added by extension)
