I sold one of my old computers with all information deleted including the Firefox OS. When the new user reinstalled Firefox they got access to all my bookmark activity which has auto password. How do I block or free the sold XP computer from Bookmark Auto Sync and still allow the new owner to use Firefox?

Thank You!

You can change the Sync password:

You should always do a full clear and wipe all data if you sell a computer.

Did you at least remove the Firefox profile folder?

Vista and later:

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalMozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Windows XP

  • C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
  • C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
