browser stays minimized

All of a sudden today everytime I open firefox it stays minimized and I cant expand it. Ive done virus scans and checked all the similar posts on the web to no avail. Ive rebooted, re-installed, closed it out in task manager etc... it still continuously opens minimized...

Sometimes this indicates that Firefox's window is off the screen to one side. For that problem, could you try the steps in the following thread and see whether they help:
