Youtube and Windows 8.1 touch issue

more options

I am running windows 8.1 on my surface pro 2, and I am having some issues with using the touch interface with youtube. When I have a youtube page open and I click on the flash element to start the video, or if I touch any of the buttons within the flash element, the video will freeze and firefox will be unresponsive until I plug in a mouse and hover the cursor over the window.

This problem has only started happening since I updated the flash player plugin the other day, and prior to that update youtube appeared to have a more touch friendly, chunkier interface, that also worked more consistently with touch inputs.

Now this is most likely a flash problem, and it has these kinds of issues with a couple of other flash elements, but since I only appear to get it with firefox I thought I would ask around here for advice.

Thanks for any help!

And it would appear that updating a few more windows drivers has serendipitously fixed all of my issues. Please ignore this question.
