Tab shortcuts don't work on Youtube

more options

Hello. When I'm on a Youtube page, the Firefox tab shortcuts - new tab and close tab (command+t and command+w) - do not work. I'm using Firefox 37.0.2 on OS X Yosemite. I've disabled add-ons, but this doesn't help.

Is this a known problem?

When the plugin trapping the focus is an embedded Flash player, you can use certain meta keys to resolve the issue.

Therefore it does not work because the player is not supported by hotkeys from firefox. What you can do is change the focus from video to any other point in the page or in the browser which should work.
