Customize Bookmarks and History Button (use of Sidebar)

more options

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to configure the bookmarks and history button to open as a sidebar instead of a dropdown menu. I recently updated firefox to the latest version. In the old version I was using (I'm sorry, I cannot remember the version) the bookmarks and history button would open a sidebar menu on the left of the window, that's what I'm trying to do.

I am aware of a keyboard shortcut and a popout menu for this. I'm also aware of being able to open the sidebar via the bookmarks button, however this takes 2 clicks. I'm wondering if there's a way to just open the sidebar in just 1 click of the button. Basically, clicking the button is like Alt+B, I want to change it to just be Ctrl+B in 1 click.

Thank you.
