Thunderbird freezes in win 8.1 and win 10, even with WinDefender off, and even after folder compacting
I already deactivated Windows defernder and already compacted folders, and Thunderbird is still freezing on each second mail I send, both in win 8.1 and win 10 (although it is worse in win 10) It almost unusable!!

Does problem go away?
The problem went away while in safe mode. But it came back as soon I rebooted in normal mode.
Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog, type msconfig, and click/tap on OK.
If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes.
What programs are listed on the startup tab?
I posted the tasks in an uploaded png
Just read inthis bug report That toggling Hardware acceleration helped.
On the toolbar > Options > advanced > General
Give it a got and let us know
No, it is still freezing all the time!
