a computer has died can I transfer my address book to a new computer from the hard drive?

A Dell Computer has prematurely failed. I can access the hard drive with a doc. I need my Thunderbird address books from the old computer. Can I access them and import to a new computer?

I'd suggest you move the whole profile over.

Address books have the extension .mab if you really prefer to do it piecemeal.

Profiles and their contents are hidden by default, so you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files and folders.
