I now have 2 laptops where I use thunderbird for my email. I just bought the 2nd one, and downloaded thunderbird. everything seems to work fine, except that it will identify messages as junk like normal, but it will not move them to my junk folder. I have run junk mail controls on my email in the hopes that it will move the junk to the junk mail file, but it won't. I have reinstalled thunderbird, which does not help either.

This also causes my other laptop to not move the messages identified on this laptop as junk to the junk folder. So, on my other laptop I now need to run junk mail controls to get them in the folder, if they were downloaded on my new laptop first.

This has been going on for over a week.

Hi, that's something you can configure in Thunderbird's settings and account settings. I think https://support.mozilla.org/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages#w_junk-filter-options will help to move the messages automatically.
