I know that MS Entourage for MAC is a bit dated, but I used it successfully until recently. I want to use Thunderbird, but need to import my current data.

Mail can be exported from Entourage in mbox format:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Importing_and_exporting_your_mail

Import to TB Local Folders using ImportExportTools, or simply copy the mbox files (without any extension) into the .../Mail/Local Folders directory of the TB profile folder (Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder, close TB, copy the files).

For the contacts, export from Entourage in tab-delimited format, then in TB, Tools/Import...Address books...Text file...select the .tab file. You may want to edit the .tab file in a spreadsheet to make it easier to import.
