After a recent OS update (Mac OS High Siera 10.13.2 ), hyperlinks in a Thunderbird email message quit working. When clicking on a hyperlink, it does properly open the Chrome browser, but it does not insert the URL in the browser's address field. So, the browser just opens without going to the proper page.

I have tried all the remedies shown on the Mozilla support page that deals with hyperlinks not working.

Your help appreciated.

Just found this on another forum. Success at last! Solved:

1. Open Safari Setting and change Safari to be the default browser

2. Close all Chrome instances, and reopen Chrome

3. When chrome asks you to set Chrome back to default: choose chrome to be the default browser.

Success
