I'm several versions behind on updating Firefox, seems like they change every month. I went up to download the setup stub and it immediately started installing whatever version the new Firefox is. I used to download a real offline installation file with the version number in the file name. I have 5 PCs in the house to do and I try to install the same version of any software on all of them.

What is the big secret about showing the version I am downloading and giving me the chance to download the fullup offline installation file. The way it is now I won't know the version to be installed until it is installed!

Chosen solution

The full offline setups for Windows has always been on the other systems and languages page. www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

The online stub installers for Windows has existed since Firefox 18.0. More recently ithe stubs will install 64-bit (Win64) by default if your system supports Win64.

You can download the full installer at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

I'd suggest making sure your computers all automatically update, to keep them secure in the future.

Sorry about that, Found out there was another link to click which took me to the full download. It shows as advanced options on the first download page. Had a shortcut to the all page but lost track of it.

I allow very few things to automatically update except my security software, I'm an old man that's been burned too many times by problems updates. I purposely let my FX go as I examined other browsers. Now I want to see what FX has gotten to.

Thanks anyways, the link you gave me was what I really wanted.
