Stop google autocomplete

more options

HI, Hoping someone can help. It used to be in older versions of Firefox you could stop the google homepage from autocompleting your searches with the following url code https://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0

During one of the last updates, it stopped working. Is there another workaround for the google homepage?

Thanks in advance. Ellen

Hi Ellen, I saw people complaining about this on Google's forums a while ago. Apparently it is not browser-specific and Google changed it for everyone using the search boxes in their pages.

If you are using one of Firefox's bars for searching, you can turn off suggestions on the Options page. The setting is below your default search engine setting: Change your default search settings in Firefox.
