LONG time Thunderbird user: Using Gsuite email for our domain. Oauth2 is working on our Windows machimes, but being completely ignored on Linux--version 68.3.1 (64-bit) Ubunut 18.04 LTS. Thunderbird continually asks for SMTP password, even though 0auth2 is selected in account settings.

Any suggestions?

Are cookies for google.com allowed in Edit/Preferences/Privacy? They are a requirement for OAuth2. Also, are there any obsolete, e.g. normal passwords, stored in Edit/Preferences/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords? Was the Linux profile recently copied from a Windows computer?
