I get an error while trying to import calendar data onto Thunderbird : an error occurred when writing to calendar home error modification failed 788 items were ignored since they exist in both destination calendar and E:\calendar.ics I need help to resolve this
Chosen solution
Probably not. By definition import adds to, not replaces. That is why it skips over duplicates. You would delete your existing calendar if it was corrupt and import your saved one into a new calendar if you needed to restore it from backup.

What is to resolve, the import is skipping duplicates. 788 of them to be precise. Perhaps you have tried this import before?
I need to know if I can import a previous version saved on a thumb drive to overwrite what is on the C:\ drive.
