making firefox my default browser
make firefox my default browser. I did what advice said and uninstalled and then reinstalled firefox to override Edge but now all my bookmarks I created BEFORE uninstalling have disappeared'

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar.
How many profiles are listed?
How many should be there?
Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.

When trying to switch to Firefox it was not listed in the default apps. When I could not seem to add Firefox the instructions told me to try and uninstall then reinstall Firefox which unfortunately resulted in me losing all my bookmarks. Not being that savvy on the computer I had not backed these up/saved them and I ultimately lost them all. I did find the Old Firefox file on my desk top but of course now I realize I only had the version left from when I uninstalled it which was only a couple of days ago so no bookmarks.
