My awesome Firefox bookmarks replaced by crappy Chrome bookmarks. Can I get my old ones back?

I am VERY VERY ATTACHED to my bookmarks in my previous Firefox browser. Somehow Chrome ended up syncing its old set of bookmarks into Firefox which is a huge downgrade and loss of information. Is there a way for me to retrieve the previous set of bookmarks that I had spent so much time adding to?
