When Firefox is open, it magnify itself to over 500%, making it impossible to read full page, this happens on Firefox Browser, Opera, Google Chrome and Safari, No One, at any of browsers mention knows the problem, asking public for help please, feel free to look at screen shot when I search a name on Firefox, and Google gave me this, at exact size, Screen Shot can not be uploaded because NO BROWSERS can accept screenshot at 500%.....Error uploading image

"Screen Shot 2021-06-10 at 1.13.12 PM.png" is too large (1533KB), the limit is 1024KB

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved You may have corrupt xulstore.json file.

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:

  • Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
  • Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
  • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data \Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Search for the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

Is this also the case for the user interface or is only the website content affected ?

On Windows I would assume that you run Firefox in compatibility mode or with reduced screen resolution, but I'm not aware that Mac has a similar feature.

You can try to uninstall Firefox (drag the Firefox application to the Trash) and reinstall Firefox.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
