How can I get a Google Search shortcut back on Firefox Home Page?

more options

I accidentally unpinned the Google Search shortcut on my Firefox Home. You know, the one that has a little magnifying glass in bottom right of the icon. How can I get it back?

Chosen solution

I'm quoting Caspy7's answer that was posted on Firefox Desktop Community Matrix room:

  1. I went to about:config in the URL bar, then searched for "pinned" and found browser.newtabpage.pinned
  2. I found an entry that was {"url":"https://google.com","label":"@google","searchTopSite":true,"baseDomain":"google.com"} so I added that in a test profile and after a restart it showed up
