Open a browser and go to https://login.live.com then sign in to your Microsoft Account (your Live.com account is now a Microsoft Account) using your ****@live.com email address and the corresponding password. Once you're signed in, open https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/using-app-passwords-with-apps-that-don-t-support-two-step-verification-5896ed9b-4263-e681-128a-a6f2979a7944 and follow the steps given to create a new app password. This is the password that Thunderbird will use from now on.

Next, you need to update Account Settings in Thunderbird. Make the following changes under Server Settings: (IMAP) Server Name: outlook.office365.com Username: your full ****@live.com email address Port: 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: Normal Password

While in Account Settings, Edit SMTP server settings as follows: Server Name: smtp.office365.com Username: your full ****@live.com email address Port: 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication Method: Normal Password

Next, Open Thunderbird's Settings, go to the Privacy & Security section and click on Saved Passwords. This will open Thunderbird's password vault. Click on Show Passwords, then edit the password for the affected ****@live.com account. There should be two entries for that account, one for IMAP and the other for SMTP. Edit the password for both entries by entering the app password you generated earlier.

Stans,

Hopefully you will see this. Perhaps a new request is required.

I have a similar problem creating accounts in Thunderbird. I am using Windows 11 and downloaded Thunderbird 102. I have two MSN accounts. **********@msn.com and **********@hotmail.com that I want to add to Thunderbird. It appears to me that the instructions you provided will only let me add one.

Thanks in advance for your help.
