Lost Email in inbox
Need to determine why some emails sent to me (from me) do not show in my inbox. If the same email was forwarded to me from someone else, it looks like it comes in (unread mail count increases), but it does not show in the inbox. A search for the email finds it but it does not show in the inbox. Very odd behavior. Only does this for one account of several we have.
Chosen solution
Due to other comments, I moved all the items in my inbox to another folder.
I then "repaired" the inbox and the missing emails returned. I then brought back the moved items to the inbox, and all is good.
The repair did the trick but I heard you need to be careful as it can lose emails during the repair

Is this POP or IMAP? Do you have any filters? In what folder did you find the message?
Hi David, Thank you for the reply.
This is IMAP. There are no filters. There is no message. (in inbox or elsewhere)
The emails should be in the inbox but do not show although a search will find them. Also the "unread" counter increases by the number of missing emails.

I'm glad it all worked out. :)
Many emails missing from INBOX. What is meant by "Repairing" the Inbox?
Highlight a message folder, rightclick, select properties and an option to repair is there. This process rebuilds the index for the folder.
