how to change back to startup splash screen minimalist logo?
I was told to ask for support here rather than at bugzilla.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 10; Mobile; rv:109.0) Gecko/116.0 Firefox/116.0
Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Fennec from F-droid 2. Open browser 3. Observe splash screen 4. The original logo is back
Actual results: 116.2.0 changed the startup splash screen back to the regular logo. I actually rather liked the minimalist splash screen logo we had for a few weeks prior.
Expected results: Is there a flag in the config that I can change to get back the minimalist logo?
Chosen solution
This is something that is configured when the app is built.

Hi Jacob
That build of Firefox for Android is not from Mozilla and is not something that we support here.
Does the same issue occur in the version available from the Google Play store?
Hi Paul
Huh, so because f-droid uses reproducible builds, they're not a supported source? I learned something new, I suppose.
Firefox from the Google Play store also has the 'regular' Firefox startup splash screen logo.
I want the single-color minimalist logo, which resembles a tribal tattoo.
- edit: was the 'minimalist tribal logo' perhaps a change introduced by f-droid?
In that case, I suppose my question is this; can the splash screen logo be changed in about:config? Or is it decided at build time?
