Everytime I try to install Firefox 3.6, it opens into Google or Mediastar instead of the Firefox window, Thx

That link is the default home page, if you want to change it to something else see How to set the home page.

If you prefer it to open to a blank page, on the same part of the options dialog that you set the home page, change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show a blank page"
