There is a problem with the Firefox I have installed but cannot get it uninstalled. Each time I try to download the complete version, I get a message that says I need to reboot to finish uninstall of previous download. I have rebooted many times, but always receive the same message.

Try manually resetting the software update feature by deleting the files and folders related to software update as shown in the "Software Update not working properly" section of this article - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update

Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh copy of Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html) and do a reinstall of Firefox on top of the current version.
If that still causes the same problem then do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder.

No doesn't help. Tried to run as admin, still tells me to reboot to remove previous version. Also tried to remove what is already in my computer and nothing happens.
