I've been using Speed Dial for many months (2+years). then, suddenly one day I lost it. It is not where I can see it. If I click the Tools Add-ons drop down I can see speed dial is there but no way can I restore the speed dial icon back to the menu bar.

Please help

I just had this happen last week after loading Google Chrome, myself. When I came back to Firefox my icon was gone. Upon searching, here is what I found I had to do.

If you mean your toolbar icon is missing, try this:

1) Close all desk apps except firefox.

2) Click on “View”, > toolbars>, then at the bottom click on the “Customize button”.

3) The next screen displays a whole bunch of icons that you can load on your tool bar.

4) Look and select the “Speed Dial 3x3 (9 purple squares) without the down arrow or “+” sign.

5) Drag this to your toolbar, that should allow you to access your tabs.

Hope this what you were asking about !

Good luck

Snipe, Thanks for your message. I did as you said but I only see the 9-square icon with plus sign and down arrow. I do not have a plain speed dial icon without the 2 items (plus sign, down arrow). The search continues :)

My speed dial also went missing... why, I have no clue. Regardless, I got it back as my homepage for each tab by going to TOOLS, ADD-ONS, EXTENSIONS, then selecting SPEED DIAL, and switching to ENABLE on the right side of the add-ons box. I hope this helps!!!
