I had been running Firefox 3.6. This morning I downloaded 4.0 update, and dragged it into my applications folder. This replaced my existing 3.6. It turn out that 4.0 is not compatible with my OS. Now I have no Firefox

where / how can I recover or do a new download of 3.6?

For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .
