Since downloading FF4, I have been unable to open pdf files on the web. When I attempt to open a pdf file I'll either get a blank white screen or a bar showing that the file is down loading which eventually freezes. I've checked Adobe reader and it works fine but will not open in the browser. Any ideas?

Same as above. But to clarify, I'm running Namoroka 64 bit. I have *several* problems with that and am running the 32 bit versions of Chrome to get around it. I do not know whether this pdf problem is similar to the Flash problem ...? At this point ... between the Flash issues and the .pdf issues, I'm not using FireFox at all.

To update: I have gone back to FF3.6 and pdf files are again accessible. At this point there is definitely no advantage to a Firefox upgrade.

My solution was to go to Tools, Add-on and click on Extensions. Disable the Firefox PDF extension which belongs to another company and interferes with Reader. Restart Firefox. I hope this helps. It worked for me
