Do you have Adblock Plus installed? if so, click the arrow to the right of it and choose "Disable on this page only". Then refresh the page.

I've uploaded an image showing how ABP treats some images as ads. The top half of the picture has ABP disabled while the bottom half shows the same page but with ABP blocking ads on that page. As you can see, the Global Market News is missing when ABP is enabled.

If you don't have ABP installed, try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it works properly in that configuration, then one of your other add-ons is the culprit.
