When closing the program, a previously visited website will abruptly flash on the screen for a split second before the program fully closes. It seems to usually happen with websites that are flash-based or have embedded videos.

Firefox may be clearing screen buffers that still have some content.

Does it still happen if you disable hardware acceleration?

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
