I switched to Firefox a number of years ago when Internet Explorer no longer worked with my yahoo email account. I love using Firefox. However, all of a sudden on my laptop, Firefox will not open a new tab by clicking on the tab next to the open one. I have to go up to File an dclick on new tab. Once the new tab is open, I can't go back to the other tab. It won't switch between the two. I also can't opn anything on by book mark list and can't close the list by clicking on the x. If I am in Facebook, I am limited to my profile page, it will not let me navigate to the Home page. It is not my laptop, because I am able to navigate without any problems on Internet Explorer. But I prefer using Firefox.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
