Firefox crashed today.....I downloaded a fresh copy and it continues to crash. I have to Force Quit the application. I do not want to lose all of the bookmarks. At this point in time I am unable to export the bookmarks to a different browser.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration or a problem with the JIT compiler is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
