When I load up iGoogle and click the Gmail tab in the top menu I get "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." and like it says never completes.

I have the official Gmail gadget on my iGoogle desktop, and instead of displaying my inbox says "Please re-enter your password to see your information. (Why?)" so I clicked this (the "Please re-enter your password" and "Why?" part were links) and made sure the URL looked safe just in case it was some phishing scam, and it looked fine. My details were already in the username and password boxes and when I log in the message "Please re-enter your password to see your information. (Why?)" pops up again in the Gmail gadget window, same happens if I try and re-enter my details.

I've opened up Chrome and IE and Gmail and the iGoogle gadget work fine with both of these.

It's strange because Gmail and the iGoogle Gmail gadget has been working fine until now, and there have been no network or hardware changes on my end.

sometimes this problem can arise when cookies are blocked on a certain page. first try to clear all cookies from google and the browser cache. then when you are on googles login page, right-click somewhere on the page, go to "view page info" and the permissions tab and make sure that cookies are allowed (at least for the session).

I've cleared my cookies and checked that cookies are enabled on Google and Gmail sites, I've also tried changing the proxy settings from "use system settings" to "no proxy", but no luck.

Sorted! I cleared the history for Gmail using the history browser and clicking "Forget About This Site." and bingo it picked it up again. Thanks.

I had the same problem today with Gmail running in iGoogle gadget in Firefox on both Mac and Windows. Both computers connect to the same internet service provider through a router. Deleting all cookies on the Mac solved the problem on both computers. This is a bit hard to understand but - who cares.

I have experienced this error "Please re-enter your password to see your information. (Why?)" before but usually it was enough to refresh the browser.
