Is wchoppers an authorised plug in? Can I delete it?
Hi I am posting here because I can't see any other place for my query. Is wchoppers a Firefox authorised plug-in? I ask because a couple of weeks ago it appeared from nowhere and highjacked my Homepage it also appeared top right as a Search facility. I can find no way to remove it and websearches provide no information. When I manage to override it it often re-appears at start up. It appears as an .XML file in Firefox/Mozilla plugins directory. Can I simply delete it safely? Thanks Keith Tanner

Firefox doesn't come with any plugins so yes you can delete it. If you are having problems with a highjacked homepage and search you might want to try these fixes:
- Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
- Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page

Hi verdi Thanks I will remove it. I tried to remove the toolbar but there is no option in the drop down toolbar!
Hi verdi
It worked! Many thanks. It had been annoying me for weeks. Strangely there is nothing on the web about it other than some self congratulation by wchoppers. Which appears to be of Russian origin!
