Why does StartNow comes up when I click on the Firefox icon on the bottom of my Windows 7 screen? And how can I set Yahoo.com as my home page?
I very recently downloaded "important" upgrades from MS. Upon re-booting the computer, when I click on Firefox icon at the bottom of the screen, I do not get my customary yahoo homepage but a search page for 'StartNow'. Is StartNow part of Firefox? How do I get Firefox to open in Yahoo? How do I set my search engine without having to choose it every time I re-boot the machine?
Thank you, in advance,
Jeff Solash

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
