Google web toolkit plugin for firefox (1.23) disables the browser back button. How do we fix this?
I have Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for firefox (1.23). It has been working for me, but recently I discovered that the Back button in my browser had been disabled. Through trial and error I discovered that it is the GWT Developer Plugin that is the culprit. When I disable the plugin, the Back button starts working again. When I re-enable the plugin, the back button stops working. Has anyone else encountered this problem? My firefox is version 19.0. Does anyone know what would have caused the plugin to start disabling the back button?

Have you tried using Firefox 23? That's the version you should be running.

This solved my problem. Thank you. However, I'm still puzzled, because it was working for me before and then seemed to suddenly stopped working. The plugin was automatically updated on 8/8/2013, but I'm pretty certain I was using my browser with the Back button enabled after that point in time. The Back button stopped working for me around 8/13/2013 it seems. I'm also pretty sure that I successfully used the plugin in debugging sessions after 8/8/2013. ... Oh well, it is working now and that's what counts I suppose.
