I recently switched antivirus programs from Kapersky Clear to Trend Micro Titanium . Ever since, Firefox crashes at different times, mostly when I am on Facebook. This didn't happen before I started using Trend Micro. Is there anything I can do to prevent Firefox from crashing?

Chosen solution

You can try to disable the Trend Micro extensions to see if you can find which of them is causing this.

  1. Trend Micro BEP Firefox Extension 8.0.0.1135
  2. Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extension 6.8.0.1118
  3. Trend Micro Toolbar 7.0.0.1206

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
